One of our prime activity in ICAD is to inform and train women and youths. As part of the activities of the W4D project, we trained 60 women in Ndop on techniques of recycling animal and household waste to produce organic manure via composting and biodigestion.
It should be noted that after each training session, we donate the samples to the trainees. This project aims at instituting the culture of using organic manure instead of chemical fertilizers. Using chemical fertilizers appears to be expensive and has adverse effects on the environment. On the contrary, organic manure is free to get and end up being a way to dispose wastes.
The video above is a testimonial from one of the group of women that was trained.
